Geboren in Den Haag in 1956. Na de middelbare school ben ik gaan werken als model in binnen- en buitenland. Fotograferen was toen al een passie van me en ik wilde graag van mijn hobby mijn beroep maken. Op 33 jarige leeftijd ben ik naar de "Fotoacademie Amsterdam" gegaan en daar heb ik een vierjarige opleiding gevolgd om de fijne kneepjes en verschillende facetten van het vak te leren. Daarna heb ik er nog een aantal jaren les gegeven.
Al gauw bleek dat ik mensen fotograferen het leukste vond en ben daar dan ook in verder gegaan. Fotograferen is en blijft voor mij een heerlijk vak.

I was born in The Hague in 1956. After secondary school I worked as model in Holland and abroad. Already in those days photography was my passion and I soon had the intention to make my hobby, my profession. At the age of 33 I attended the "Academy of Photography Amsterdam", where I followed a four year course to learn the ultimate tricks of the trade and the different facets of professional photography. Afterwards I even became a teacher there.
Quite soon I realized that photographing people appealed to me most and so I specialized in that. Photography is and remains for me a wonderful profession.

Geëxposeerd met 350 portretten op Schiphol ("Hoeden en Petten op Schiphol"): passanten, reizigers, piloten, stewardessen enz. Als ze maar wat op hun hoofd hadden en zo verschillend mogelijk waren.

An exhibition of 350 of my portraits at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam (called "Hats and Caps at Schiphol"): people passing by, passengers, pilots, stewardesses, etc. As long as they had something on their head and they were as unusual as possible.

2007:
De gemeente Noordwijk kocht 24 foto's aan voor een (blijvende) buitenexpositie op de Wilhelmina Boulevard bij de vuurtoren. Het zijn foto's van beelden en "oude" bezienswaardigheden in Noordwijk die ik daarna bewerkt heb op de computer.

2007:
The community of Noordwijk bought 24 photographs for a (permanent) exposition outside at the Wilhelmina Boulevard next to the lighthouse. It consists of photographs of statues ad "old" objects of interest throughout Noordwijk which I have altered by computer.
